"Yummy"

Went to Prescott yesterday, about 50 miles over the mountain from here in Cottonwood, AZ.  Heard so much about this "Chocolate Wonderfall" on TV we just couldn't pass it up over there at the Golden Coral.  There are no restaurants like this one here in Cottonwood.  Sure loved the pineapple chunks and strawberries  dipped in this semi-sweet dark chocolate!  Oh my goodness; sure can't make a habit of this!  A good thing it is located quite a distance away, ha!

Painted Desert

The painted desert is located in the four corners of Arizona which is Navajo Nation.
The Navajo and Hopi tribes lived in this region for at least 501,000 years.  Wind, water, and soil erosion continue to change the face of the landscape. Prehistoric fossilized plants and animals are found in this area, as well as dinosaur tracks.
The towns of Cameron and Tuba City both are within the Navajo Nation which are two major settlements.  This is also one of my favorite areas.  So much to see in this state with a little fuel and a packed picnic lunch!

Sunset Point

Purple mountain majesty!
This is one of my favorite places among many here in Arizona.  A favorite rest area for many right along  I-17 between Cottonwood and Phoenix.

Birthday Time Again!

Celebrating Ken's & my birthdays at our daughters home tonight.   Dinner was made there consisting of a pork loin roast, vegetable, and  mashed potatoes made with whipping cream??  Yummy!  Home made saurkraut grown and made in Ohio this past summer by brother Jeff.  Sure did all turn out yummy!  Sure thing we will be back this summer for some more of that kraut, ha!  There were six of us there and only scrapings were left.  Daughter Angela made us a birthday carrot cake and home made icing and everyone sang "Happy Birthday"! What a nice day!   Of course grand puppy Harley had to sit and beg for a small taste too!

And then we all lounged around and discussed how we all ate too much, ha!
