Snowstorm in the Desert

Snow in the air at the park!  This picture was taken right from the door of our motor home.  Didn't even have to go outside.  Snow did not stick at all this time at this elevation which suits us just fine.  That land on the other side of the fence is BLM land. (bureau of land management)  Any BLM land you can camp on up to two weeks free out here then move to a new location and do the same thing over again.

After the storm the full sun was back out and the beauty of it all shines through.  The snow line is very obvious at about 5,000ft.

Another view of the area.  Mingus mountain in the background at an elevation of around 7,000 feet.

High desert, mountains, and wide open spaces.  Love this area so much!

Another picture taken from the park.  There is habitation out here.  Ha!

This picture is one of my favorites that I took.  Simulating cacti survival and snow in the higher elevations in the background.  The pool is open on the park now and there is still snow in the mountains.  Gotta love it!

Cardinal in an Arizona Sycamore Tree

Although the Cardinal is the "Ohio State Bird" we have seen many more of them out here in Arizona.  They sure can make beautiful loud noises!  Ken had to take his hearing aids out or go back inside, ha!  The woodpecker is gone now.  What will appear next?

Woodpecker in an Arizona Sycamore Tree

"Beautiful Bird in a Beautiful Tree"
Now this is what it did to the small bush in our yard!
