Butternut Squash (looks like a pumpkin)

Grew seeds from a Butternut squash we brought back from Defiance, PA. last summer. This particular one needed his picture taken. Sure looks like a small pumpkin to me minus the deep orange color. Pretty cool!

Our 34th Wedding Anniversary

Thirty four years of marriage and proud of it! Our sweet daughter and son-in law took us out to eat. Had a nice dinner and over to their place afterwards. Have to say we don't look bad after all these years. Must be doing something right, lol.

My Baby is 30!!!

Angela's birthday party was held at the "Up the Creek" restaurant in Page Springs, AZ. last night. This restaurant is widely known, situated right on Beautiful Oak Creek!  My smoked salmon w/bruschetta sauce was awesome!

Afterwards we all went exploring...Angela and Matt showed us all a patch of wild bamboo growing near the creek.

As always I am one of the last ones to enter. Have to get the photos.  It was beautiful...just like setting foot into a jungle! Arizona has so much to offer, guess that's why I'm in love with it so much.

Monsoon Season in Arizona

Misty rainbow here in the background. Love this time of the year! It does get quite humid, however, the rains are welcomed after a month or so of such intense sun and heat. Almost every day between 1 and 4pm. the skies cloud up and thunder is very evident and the lightening strikes. Not always in close vicinity but nearby. Sometimes it rains and pours other times just a few sprinkles.

Beautiful Cardinals

"The Amazing Cardinal"
They say when you see a cardinal it means that the spirit of a loved one is close by. This photo was a lucky chance I had. The camera was ready and so was the zoom.

Cardinals seem to appear as fast as they disappear.

I can't condone the tale of a loved ones spirit being close by, however, within one hour of hanging this feeder the Cardinal appeared. Believe what you want...they are beautiful birds.
